Frequently Asked Questions

While trucks are our specialty, we also service vans and SUVs from major manufacturers. Chevy Express vans, Ford E-series, Suburban, Excursions—if it has leaf springs or needs suspension work, we probably have parts for it. Our focus is on work vehicles and vehicles that work hard.

GM vehicles (Chevrolet and GMC) often share components, which can make finding parts easier. Some Ford and Mazda Rangers from certain years are similar too. However, never assume parts are interchangeable without checking. That’s where our expertise comes in—we know what crosses over and what doesn’t.
Dealerships have overhead we don’t. Plus, they typically only offer one option—original spec. ATS Springs gives you choices: OEM spec, heavy-duty upgrades, or budget-friendly alternatives that still maintain quality. We’re not paying for a fancy showroom; we’re suspension specialists working out of our shop in Pennsylvania.
We primarily focus on domestic makes, but we do carry parts for popular import trucks like Toyota, Nissan, and Isuzu. For European makes, we can usually source parts through our supplier network, though these might take a bit longer to arrive than our standard inventory.
We’ve seen all the mergers and acquisitions—Sterling becoming Freightliner, GMC and Chevrolet sharing platforms, Ram splitting from Dodge. We track all these changes and can find parts regardless of what badge is on your grille. Your 2008 Sterling is basically a Freightliner, and we know exactly what that means for parts.
Most manufacturers can’t void your warranty just for using aftermarket suspension parts—that’s the law. However, if you’re concerned, our OEM-spec replacements match factory specifications exactly. We’re happy to provide documentation showing our parts meet or exceed original standards, giving you peace of mind with your make’s warranty requirements.

American Truck Manufacturers

The big three—Ford, Chevrolet/GMC, and Ram—each have distinct suspension philosophies that have evolved over decades. Ford’s twin I-beam front suspension was revolutionary but requires specific knowledge to service properly. Chevy’s independent front suspension offers a smooth ride but has its own wear patterns. Ram’s coil spring rear suspension on certain models is great for ride quality but needs different components than leaf spring setups. At ATS Springs, we don’t just stock parts for these makes—we understand why each manufacturer made their design choices and how to optimize them for your needs. This depth of knowledge means we can suggest upgrades that actually work with your truck’s engineering, not against it.

Commercial and Heavy-Duty Makes

When your truck is your livelihood, you need parts from people who understand commercial applications. We’ve been servicing Mack trucks since before they moved production, and we stock those hard-to-find metric bolts and specialized components that other suppliers overlook. Freightliner suspensions? We know every variation. Peterbilt’s unique front suspension setups from different eras? Got them covered. International, Kenworth, Western Star—we speak heavy-duty. These aren’t just bigger versions of pickup truck parts. Commercial vehicles use specialized components designed for millions of miles of service, and ATS Springs maintains the inventory and expertise to keep your business moving.
