7/8″ Grade 8 square bend U-bolt kits are engineered to provide maximum clamping force and durability for leaf spring suspension systems used on:

• Heavy duty trucks
• Medium duty trucks
• Light duty trucks
• Select automotive applications

Square bend U-bolts are commonly used where the axle seat or spring plate requires a flat, squared profile. This design allows the U-bolt legs to seat evenly and apply consistent pressure to the leaf spring pack, helping maintain proper axle alignment under load.

What’s Included

Each ATS Springs Grade 8 square bend U-bolt kit includes:

• (2) 7/8″ diameter square bend U-bolts
• Deep nuts for increased thread engagement
• Thick hardened washers for higher torque applications

Why Grade 8 Matters

Grade 8 hardware provides:

• Higher tensile strength
• Reduced bolt stretch under load
• Improved long-term clamping force

This makes Grade 8 U-bolts ideal for demanding suspension environments and higher load capacities.

Important Installation Notes

• Reusing original or previously torqued U-bolts is not recommended
• U-bolts stretch during installation and cannot be reliably reused
• Installing new U-bolts is critical for proper suspension performance and safety
